FILKAB JSCo to build five solar parks with total output of 11 MWp.

The successful cooperation between FILKAB and Q.CELLS continuously expands.

Filkab placed an order for the delivery of 46 800 pcs. solar modules till the end of May with a total output of 11 MWp. The company builds the solar installations with crystalline solar modules of the Q.Pro series in the Bulgarian towns Brezovo, Sliven, Staro Zhelezare, Tvarditsa and Nova Zagora. The claims rates for Q.PRO modules was at 0.0028% in the year 2011 and therefore rank first for high quality and reliability. All together the solar parks planned will have an energy output of about 15 000 MWh per year and together will generate as much electricity as being consumed by 4125 households as well as save 6.9 million tons CO2 per annum.

This large placement extends the long-term partnership between FILKAB and of Q.CELLS, which started at the beginning of 2011, when Q.CELLS delivered modules into a FILKAB project with an overall output of 1.1 MWp in the Bulgarian town Elshitsa. With around 1472 kWh/kWp this installation has achieved a record-setting yield - 18% above the national Bulgarian average of 1250 kWh/kWp.

Executing these projects FILKAB joints the major Bulgarian EPC contractors in the field of renewable energy sources. The company has already gained a lot of experience in turn-key construction of PV projects, implements operation and maintenance as well as after-sales service. The complex supplies and engineering services provided by the company place it among the preferable partners of the SEE investors in Bulgaria.
