LED lamps
LED is a semiconducting crystal, in which current may flow only in one direction and a part of its energy is converted into light. It's with a very narrow band, i.e. always has a definite color depending on the type of the semiconductor. The white LED consists of crystal with blue light that illuminates a specific luminophores and it emits the white light. In contrast to the other light sources, the voltage on the radiating LED is small and is directly related to the color of the light - between 1,6 V for red and 3,6 V for e blue and white. The light flow depends on the current's magnitude and the electric power consumption. For example, for 1 W blue LED the flux is 10 lm, green and white are with 30 lm, red - 44 lm. To ensure the desired values of the constant voltage and current of LED in lighting fixtures there must be an electronic unit, supplied by the network. Most of these units provide constant value of current at changes in the network voltage.
LED lamps in recent years rapidly penetrate in all areas of lighting. As a decorative and spectacular lighting at firs, they can now replace the bulbs and even fluorescent tubes lighting of offices, shops, hotels etc. The biggest advantages of LEDs are their economy and long life (approximately 50,000 hours). The lamps produced with them are almost eternal and hardly need any maintenance. By investing in LED lighting, You save on electricity bills and maintenance.
Lamp life reaches 50,000 hours under normal operating conditions (room temperature and normal humidity). All LED types have "self-maintenance system" - in case one or more LED fused, the rest of them work normally. In this case the lamp's life is additionally extended.

LEDs are significantly more resistant to shocks and vibrations, in view of the fact that there is no fragile glass bubble or thin to be brake. However, little heating makes them suitable for low temperature places (refrigerators, freezers).
Direct transmission of light with a certain color is an advantage. For the same purpose the other lamps require color filters, which not only increases the price but also reduces the power of light (the filters let pass only part of it).
The small dimensions of the powerful LED (for example 9x9x4 mm) allow in one luminary to be installed a great number of LEDs with different colors and with easily on/off one another to obtain different light. At the same time, significantly easier and cheaper than other types of sources, can be adjusted the light in a very wide range (e.g. from 2 to 100%) without changing its color. All this creates conditions to obtain the desired effect of power and color in the lighting of the room. Additional advantage of the white LED is that their light is closer to the natural.
There's no transmission of UV and infrared rays of LED lamps, as it's in the standard luminaries. LED lamps are eco-friendly.
