SITOP PSA 100E - the new power supplies of SIEMENS A&D

Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) is supplementing its SITOP power supplies with a new range of stabilized units for the low-end performance range. The four new, primary switched-mode SITOP PSA 100E power packs with 230-volt connection and rated output currents of 2.5, 4, 6 and 12 amps meet the basic requirements of the industrial environment. These include the generously dimensioned voltage range from 187 to 264 V AC, the precisely stabilized output voltage, extensive protection functions against overload, and the compensation of voltage drops on long lines. The output voltage can be set between 23 and 26 volts for this purpose.

With an MTBF (mean time between failures) value of more than a million hours, the new SITOP PSA 100E power packs are especially reliable and have a particularly long service life. The fan-free devices are suitable for ambient temperatures up to +70 degrees Celsius, and the efficiency level of up to 90 percent generates low heat loss. The compact metal housing can be snapped onto DIN mounting rails or it can be fixed with screws flexibly on three sides. The removable terminals simplify wiring before installation. The new devices can be used in many sectors and countries and have approvals in accordance with cULus, CB-Scheme and European directives.

The SITOP range offers a complete range of switched mode regulated 24VDC power supplies from 0.5 A up 40 A, as well as options for 5VDC, 12VDC, 15VDC, 30VDC and 48VDC. In addition to the power supply offering, we provide modular power security solutions: a signaling module, a buffer module, a DC-UPS, a redundancy module, and an electronic diagnosis module. These power security devices can be combined to build a complete power security solution.

Features and benefits on board every SITOP power supply:

  • Provides worldwide agency approvals such as UL, cUL, CE
  • FM class 1, UL class 2 and ABS with certain models
  • No derating necessary due to UL 508 listing
  • Easy DIN rail mounting
  • Small footprint
  • LED status indicators
  • Touch safe
  • Electronic short circuit protection eliminates the need for secondary side fusing.
  • Wide adjustable output voltage via front mounted potentiometer
  • Power boost function to serve high inrush loads

The SITOP power switched-mode power supplies fulfill all requirements for use in:

  • the process engineering industry
  • plant construction
  • automobile manufacturing or
  • residential areas.
